It is not noticeable to the naked eye, but the two ends of the implant can be felt if you press your fingers gently at the insertion point. Since it is radio-opaque, it can be viewed using an X-ray or a CT scan. It is also visible through ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging.
I discussed it with my gynecologist to better understand why this can happen.
